Reading the Bulletin today I came across a flyer for a free wash at my friend Larry’s new car wash on Empire. Now if I were still a kid, I would have immediately jumped on my bike and gone down to buy as many copies of the paper as I could afford. Then I would have gone door to door selling $6 car washes for $3 (at a profit of $2.50 considering each copy of the paper is 50c).

Ah, the good ole days. That was then. Today, I’ll just stuff the coupon into my glove box and go get a free wash before it expires. Still, it’s fun to reminisce…
