Chart of the Day: Testing the Volatility Breakdown, Part Deux

At this point the VIX has tested the breakdown of it’s uptrend line for most of November. What I find particularly interesting is as the stock market declined to new lows last week the VIX failed to confirm the weakness by making a new high. This is a key divergence in my mind.
